Winter Lights
Another late night out to see the Winter Lights festival in Canary Wharf. It's very surreal walking about skyscrapers that are empty of office workers. The rain stayed away for just enough time to walk about to see the huge light installations. My favourite was the Urban Patterns , which looked like glowing fluorescent strings that you could strum and ping. The over head UV lights made anything nearby glow an unnatural green - including teeth! Which was very amusing as you could see where D had a cap :-D
The entire area of Canary Wharf is very weird, no obvious road signs and street names to navigate around. The maps that were provided by Winter Lights were not very clear so in the end we just drifted about following the crowds. The outdoor lights were a lot more impressive than the in door ones. I'm sure it was to entice people to shop inside the high end mall! But if I was planning to blow a lot of cash I would rather spend it in Bond St for a better shopping experience.

Outside the Rueters Building
This was amazing - a real -'how do they do this' moment. Water drops falling down spelling different words.
The Cube - I didn't get the best angle for the photo but is I moved over then it would have looked like a cuboid with the water reflection.
Another light installation using the water reflection to double the effect
I had thought this was made from glitter perspex but it was the rain drops made it look glittery!
