LFW Review - Jasper Garvida SS11
Upstairs toilet un-blocked, Downstairs hoovered, Laundry on, breakfast things nearly all washed up, thing 1 and thing 2 napping & curly haired beauty finally out the door for a play date with her cousins.......don't you just love real life??? Strangely I get more things done around the house when D is out and I am left to look after the 3 tots.
Now for the GLAMOUR BIT. Last Monday I was invited to see Jasper Garvida's SS10 collection along with a few other bloggers and it was lovely to say hello to Amanda from Fortynotout and Nova from Cherished by Me . We were VIP guests of Forever Better, who are Miele sponsors of Jasper's show and I felt really privileged to be asked along . The evening started with a champagne cocktail with Push PR at a nearby bar and then a short walk to the very imposing Freemasons building. Now the last fashion show I ever went to, was back in 2007 when I used to work in that biz and my friend A handled the PR for Ronit Zilkha. Just before the designer lost her trading name to the financiers. It happens to the biggest and brightest of names and its so heart warming to hear Roland Mouret is able to designed under his own name again rather than the RM label.
Please forgive my seriously bad camera work, I only had my mobile on me - unlike the more professionally organised Amanda/ Nova who took some great shots (go check their blogs for better photos).
The audience waiting for the show to start, which was only 20 minutes late. Note to self remember it gets very hot sat by the catwalk, carry less bags as there are hardly no room for your coat, let alone your legs.
This strapless lilac dress had the most amazing pleated bodice with silver crystal bead details (which of course you can't see!). The collection was called Belle and was very pretty, peaches, lilacs, organza loop detailing, sheer layers.
Here is the goody bag a fake bag on a bag! Love the idea! So thank you again to Roxy and Emma for asking me along. Sorry its not a better review but the home life reality with the croupy babe, pouring Calpol into everyone's gullet have overtaken me.
