Self-gifting this Mother's Day
Today it's all about me celebrating Mothering Sunday, breakfast in bed, dressed in silk PJ's, opening presents and home-made cards crafted by the three kiddos. Life is good!
But it had to be totally orchestrated - to quote the Spice Girls "Tell me what you want, what you really, really want, I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want". I won't go as far as the zig a zig ahh bit though!
After a a few calls with my sister (who has it down to a pat) - this year I organised what I really wanted for presents - to make up for all the sleepless nights caring for sick children, the frequent hospital visits, being covered in snot/sick/delete where applicable.
By the power of Twitter I saw a message from The Cambridge Satchel Company who had found some Rose Gold Satchels in their store room and was putting them out for sale for a bargaintastic £62 plus free delivery. So a quick tweet back and their lovely customer service department held one back for me for the day until I could could call direct and pay for the goodies (I was on a train).
It arrived super quick and I am so in love with my shiny new purchase. I shall be wearing it this Spring with my dusty pink Aquascutum coat and it picks up the coopery lurex threads in the fabric.
So here I am this morning a happy mummy :-)
