Zooming into Zara
I have fallen back in love with the High Street and in particular with Zara. I had a marathon 45 minute shop during my lunch break and snapped up these darling silver strappy sandals
The colour way makes this a very versatile purchase; it goes with all my summer clothes - Whites, Neon Brights and lifts neutral tones The high shine metallic strap across the foot just gives the right finishing touch to an outfit. Snap it up as its only £29.99.
I also tried on quite a few frocks although I did have a changing room malfunction and had to get a sales assistant to help me get out of a dress. It wasn't my back fat trapped in the metallic zip but it had snagged on some loose thread. I totally blame Alber Elbaz at Lanvin. It was he who started the whole exposed back metallic zipper on dresses which has filtered down to Whistles, Reiss etc. I have suffered many Ouchy moments with my hair getting caught in them, also I hate the cold feeling of the zip as it touches my skin. When I was a fashion student we were taught fastenings should be concealed as it was a superior sign of great workmanship. I despair at unfinished hems (yep another Alber influence), un-lined coats and jackets (hello anything you wear underneath will ride up).
Otherwise I would have purchased it. Fish Print Dress £69.99
I also couldn't resist popping next door to Zara Kids and swooped upon this cutie £5.99 for Curly Haired Beauty.
and this £3.99, one of each colour - since none of her summer clothes from last year fits and Summer has arrived - Yay!
Ooh, ooh, I too hate exposed zips - they look so cheap. Does this mean I am a fashion godess?
ReplyDeleteZara shoes are the best!
ReplyDeleteAhem have just done an exposed zip on a vintage dress - it looks fab in a Alber way :-) xx
